London Fashion Week has been nothing but amazing so far. However, there’s one particular collection that fashion lovers have been waiting to see for quite some time, and it is no other than Riccardo Tisci’s debut Burberry collection.
After leaving Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci was appointed as the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry back in March. Since then, people have been wondering for months what he would bring to the table, as both Givenchy and Burberry have different fashion styles. Finally, they can witness what they’ve been anticipating for at London Fashion Week.
Those who are used to Riccardo’s signature style may already know that he is well-known for his daring concept like men in dresses, bare-breast model, and women with sideburns. They can say goodbye now to all of those, because right now he is making a quite shocking change to his collections.
Dubbed as “Kingdom” for the Spring/Summer 2019 preview, his collection started with subtle and classic look dominated in beige hues—as expected from Burberry. Elegant pieces like white dress with printed patterns along with beige cardigan was spotted as well as a beige coat covered with feathers and pearls. The menswear then followed with similar concept full of muted colors like beige, grey, and white. Among them was transparent neon orange shades that grabbed everyone’s attention.
From there, the collection took quite a turn as there are some bold red brandings to spice things up along with deconstructed shirts. Plenty of vibrant all-red-everything outfits and high contrast colors were seen but still gave a casual feeling.
During the runway, the guests are also eyeing for Kendall Jenner who made her catwalk return after sitting New York Fashion Week out. Claimed to have anxiety during NYFW, she was seen walking the runway confidently with all-beige outfit along with some gold ring ornaments.
